We have a natural affinity toward old dogs. They are a bit slow, a bit blind, a bit lame, but loyal and patient. We build our affection to them through the days of them peeing on the rug in happiness because we are home. We learnt how to move all breakables at least 4 feet high to protect them from the ever sweeping tail. We spent endless days of tossing the ball only to have the slobbery contraption dropped in our hands waiting for the next…
